About the Artist

Originally an artist primarily in the realm of illustration, Sam eventually found that he loved to bring his two-dimensional creations to life in clay.

Beginning as a hand builder and falling in love with the potter’s wheel, Sam has since developed a knack for capturing the fantastic, funny, and functional in his work.

From his studio in Madison, Mississippi Sam designs and creates each piece completely by hand. No two are just alike, though all carry the personality of the artist in their expression and movement.
